The 340th Sant Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi departed from Dehu with lakhs of Warkaris. The 19-day journey to Pandharpur began with devotion, tradition, and participation from top political leaders.
Dehu, Pune | With chants of “Tukaram Tukaram” echoing in the air and the rhythmic beats of Tal-Mridangam, the 340th Palkhi Sohala (palanquin ceremony) of Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj began in Dehunagari today, June 18, 2025, amid deep devotion and spiritual fervor.
The palanquin carrying Tukobaraya’s sacred padukas will ceremoniously begin its journey at 2 PM, marking the spiritual procession’s official start. Prominent leaders including Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, and Union Minister of State Muralidhar Mohol will be present to seek blessings and flag off the event.
Lakhs of Warkaris from across Maharashtra have gathered in Dehu, having bathed in the sacred Indrayani River at dawn and offered prayers at the temple. Their spirit of devotion and unity fills Dehunagari with a spiritual aura that transcends all barriers.
