Pune | June 03, 2025: In a major drive toward educational development, 60 schools across the tehsils of Bhor, Mulshi, and Rajgarh in the Bhor Assembly Constituency are set to be  converted into model schools.  This initiative, titled ‘Pune Adarsh School’, is being launched under the District Planning Fund with the backing of Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar.

Local MLA Shankar Mandekar announced that ₹56.92 crore has been earmarked for the financial year 2025–26 to support this ambitious project. The goal is to ensure a safe, modern, and high-quality educational environment for rural students across all three tehsils.

Engineers from the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and the Zilla Parishad Construction Department have surveyed the selected school sites and drawn up specific development plans. These include construction of new classrooms, raised platforms, school entrances, paved footpaths, handwashing stations, seating areas, improved toilets, and protective compound walls.

Villages set to benefit include Rautwadi, Mutha, Lavarde, Kasarsai, Kemsewadi, Karmoli, and Bhambarde in Mulshi; Wahagaon, Varodi Khurd, Degaon, Shivre, Nivangan, Velvand in Bhor; and Dhanep, Vanganiwadi, Vadgaon Jhanje, Panshet, and Ranjane in Rajgarh—among many others.

From a developmental perspective, this initiative goes beyond infrastructure—it reflects a long-term investment in rural education and social upliftment. By strengthening schools in remote areas, it paves the way for inclusive growth, educational equality, and empowered future generations.
