An elderly man was found unconscious with his hands and feet tied inside a parked car near the Taj Mahal. His condition is critical. Police are searching for the missing family.
A deeply disturbing incident has come to light near the Taj Mahal’s western gate in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. An elderly man was found unconscious, with his hands and feet tied, inside a locked car parked in the Taj Mahal’s western parking lot—reportedly for several hours in scorching heat and humidity.
The shocking discovery was made by an on-duty security guard, who noticed the suspiciously parked vehicle and decided to investigate. As he peered inside, he found the unconscious grandfather bound and motionless. With the help of nearby employees, the guard smashed the car window and pulled the man out.
Despite being offered water, the old man was unable to drink or speak, prompting the staff to call for an ambulance. He was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors described his condition as critical.
Car Had Maharashtra Number Plate and Govt. Sticker
Eyewitness Mohammad Aslam, a local tourist guide, told that the car bore a ‘Maharashtra Government’ sticker, and its number plate also confirmed it was registered in Maharashtra. Luggage tied to the car’s roof suggested that the elderly man and his family may have traveled from Maharashtra for a visit.
The most disturbing detail: according to preliminary reports, the man’s own family allegedly left him locked in the car while they went to visit the Taj Mahal. His prolonged exposure to heat inside the vehicle left him in a dire state.
Police on the Hunt for Family
Authorities have launched an investigation to trace the car’s registered owner and locate the missing family members. Police suspect gross negligence and are not ruling out foul play. The car has been taken into custody and further forensic analysis is underway.
The incident has sparked public outrage, with many questioning how such cruelty could take place at one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. The condition of the elderly man remains extremely critical.
