Pune: The state government will launch an AI University in June to boost research and innovation in artificial intelligence. A task force led by Dr. Mashelkar will guide the initiative

The state government has announced the launch of an AI University, which will begin operations in June, according to Chandrakant Patil, Minister of Higher and Technical Education. The decision reflects the increasing role of artificial intelligence (AI) across various sectors and the government’s commitment to fostering innovation through education.

The announcement was made during the exhibition “Before ChatGPT to AI Disruption,” organized by Chandrasekhar Agashe Physical Education Vidyalaya and Garware College of Commerce of Maharashtra Education Society.
