Alia Bhatt’s ex-PA Vedika Shetty has been arrested for embezzling ₹76.9 lakh through fake bills. Juhu Police brought her from Bengaluru after a complaint by Alia’s mother, Soni Razdan.
Mumbai | July 9, 2025: In a shocking development from the Bollywood industry, Vedika Prakash Shetty, the former personal assistant of actress Alia Bhatt, has been arrested by Juhu Police on charges of cheating and financial fraud.
The complaint was filed by Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt’s mother and director of Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt. Ltd., after they uncovered a massive fraud totaling ₹76,90,892, allegedly committed between May 2022 and August 2024.

According to police sources, Vedika Shetty joined as Alia’s PA in 2021 and continued working with her until 2024. During this period, she was entrusted with financial responsibilities, including managing travel and event-related expenses. However, investigations revealed that Shetty had generated fake bills using online tools, which she presented to Alia under the pretext of work-related expenses.
After Alia unknowingly signed off on the fraudulent bills, the amounts were transferred to a bank account linked to one of Shetty’s close friends. That person would then return the siphoned funds to Shetty. The entire operation was disguised under legitimate activities like travel, meetings, and personal events.
Shetty had been absconding since January 2025, after Soni Razdan filed a formal complaint at Juhu Police Station. A case was registered under Section 316(4) of the Indian Penal Code. A special police team traced her to Bengaluru, arrested her, and brought her back to Mumbai on a five-day transit remand for further interrogation.
This high-profile case has stirred discussions in Bollywood circles about trust and oversight in celebrity management teams.
