21-year-old Gaurav Borse from Amalner died by suicide after a breakup, leaving an emotional Instagram video urging friends to focus on studies and avoid love. Police are investigating further.
Jalgaon | August 7, 2025: A deeply disturbing case of suicide has emerged from Gandhali village near Amalner, where a 21-year-old youth ended his life after facing rejection in love. The deceased, Gaurav Ravindra Borse, took this extreme step by hanging himself from a tree along the Dubkya Maroti road, near the local sports complex.
The incident caused a stir in the area and left Gaurav’s friends and family in shock. What has further intensified the grief and concern is the video Gaurav uploaded on Instagram moments before the suicide. In the video, he issued a tearful message to his mother and friends.
“I loved a girl, but she forgot. I had true love, but I failed,” Gaurav says emotionally in the video. Addressing his friends, he adds, “Friends, don’t love, study… girls forget love. I am making a mistake, don’t repeat it.” He also requested his mother not to cry and ended the video with an apology.
Soon after the video surfaced, people rushed to the spot where Gaurav was found hanging. The Amalner police reached the location, conducted a panchnama, and shifted the body to the rural hospital for postmortem. As per the information provided by Bhushan Hemraj Suryavanshi, a case of sudden death has been registered at Amalner police station.
This tragic incident has once again shed light on the severe emotional distress young people face after heartbreak. Authorities have urged the youth to seek support during emotional crises and avoid taking such irreversible steps. Police investigation in the matter is ongoing.
