Uttar Pradesh | June 16, 2025: Uttar Pradesh is known for unpredictable headlines, and this time, a shocking gun incident at a petrol pump in Hardoi’s Bilgram area has gripped the internet and public attention.
In a viral CCTV video, a young woman named Areeba is seen threatening a petrol pump employee by placing a licensed pistol directly on his chest. The incident occurred after a verbal altercation between the pump staff and a customer, Ehsan Khan, who had visited the CNG station with his wife and daughter.
According to police sources, the clash began when Rajneesh Kumar, the pump employee, asked Ehsan Khan to step out of his vehicle for safety reasons while refueling. The situation quickly escalated into a heated argument. Amid the tension, Areeba retrieved a loaded pistol from the family’s car and stormed toward the employee, pointing the weapon at him in a threatening manner.
Onlookers immediately intervened, de-escalating the situation before any harm was done. The entire episode was caught on the station’s CCTV camera, which has now gone viral, drawing both outrage and calls for stricter weapon regulations.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections, and all three family members — Ehsan Khan, his wife, and Areeba — have been detained. The firearm used in the incident is reported to be legally licensed, but police are investigating whether its use in this context constitutes criminal intimidation.
This incident once again raises questions about the misuse of licensed weapons and the growing impatience in everyday public interactions.
