IMD issues yellow alert in six Marathwada districts including Beed, Latur, Nanded, and Parbhani. Unstable weather, heat, and rainfall continue, worrying farmers and delaying agricultural work.

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar | August 6, 2025: Marathwada has been experiencing significant weather fluctuations over the past few days, with cloudy skies, heavy rain in some areas, and rising daytime temperatures. Now, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for six out of eight districts, predicting heavy rainfall and urging caution.

According to the IMD, Beed and Latur districts are expected to witness heavy rain, while Dharashiv, Nanded, Parbhani, and Hingoli will likely experience moderate rainfall along with thunder, lightning, and gusty winds over the next four days.

In contrast, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna are forecasted to have cloudy skies with only light to moderate rain at isolated places, and no heavy rainfall warning has been issued for these two districts in the coming days.

The erratic weather pattern is beginning to affect agricultural activity, with farmers growing increasingly anxious about the timing and health of their crops. The Meteorological Department has appealed to farmers and the general public to remain alert and take preventive measures as necessary during this uncertain weather spell.
