Pune |May 17,2025: As the political temperature rises ahead of the municipal elections in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray has sent a strong nationalist message – “Kashmir was ours, is ours, and will remain ours.” The statement came during a high-level meeting at Sena Bhavan, where party strategy for upcoming local body polls was laid out.

In the meeting, Thackeray directed party leaders to fan out across Maharashtra to assess ground realities and prepare a comprehensive report to be submitted at Sena Bhavan. Each leader will be assigned specific districts to monitor and mobilize support.

While delivering a rousing address, Thackeray said, “One day, there may be no BJP in this country, but Kashmir will still be ours.” He also clarified his position on national crises, stating, “We may oppose the ideology of the ruling party, but if there’s a threat to the nation, we stand with the Prime Minister. Our fight is not against the country—it is against the government.”

On the ongoing deliberations regarding the ‘One Nation, One Election’ policy, Thackeray voiced his concerns about fairness. “Studying the concept is fine, but if we truly want transparency, then both the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers should refrain from campaigning. Decide that too,” he remarked.

Taking a jibe at the ruling alliance, Thackeray said, “Our ship is not sinking. It’s the BJP’s overloaded ship that’s in trouble.” In a pointed reference to Home Minister Amit Shah, he added, “He is not just leading the BJP—he’s also the commander of Ajit Pawar’s and Eknath Shinde’s parties.”

Thackeray concluded his address with a message of resilience: “Power is transient. It comes and goes. We should neither be elated when we gain it nor disheartened when we lose it. Our focus should always be on dedicated work and winning people’s trust.”
