Pune | 07 June,2025: As talks of a possible alliance between Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena and Raj Thackeray’s MNS gain momentum in Maharashtra, BJP leader and minister Nitesh Rane has stirred a fresh political storm with a sensational statement.

During his visit to Dharashiv district, Rane hinted at Aditya Thackeray’s possible arrest, saying, “Uddhav Thackeray’s son could land in jail this monsoon.” His remarks have sparked political uproar, coming at a time when speculation about the Thackeray cousins joining forces is dominating state politics.

Rane linked his comments to the ongoing Dino Morea case, where the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is reportedly tightening its grip. The case is connected to alleged irregularities in Mumbai’s Nalasafai (drain-cleaning) contracts. According to Rane, the recent talk of a Shiv Sena–MNS alliance is a distraction tactic aimed at diverting public attention from legal troubles.

Mocking the alliance talks, Rane quipped, “One has 20 MLAs, the other so-called power. Are we supposed to be scared? We are sweating out of laughter!” He also criticized the Thackeray brand, claiming it has weakened after abandoning Hindutva ideology.

Speaking to the media after visiting Tulja Bhavani temple, Rane took jabs at the Thackeray brothers, cautioning that serious political shifts could unfold ahead of the crucial Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections.

With these fiery remarks, the political atmosphere in Maharashtra has heated up once again — setting the stage for more dramatic developments in the days to come.
