Over 1,200 saplings were planted in a vibrant community effort by Nyati Environ CHS Ltd. in Tingrenagar, Pune, fostering sustainability. Families, children, and seniors united to transform their society into a lush, eco-friendly haven.
Pune | 21 July 2025: In the heart of Pune’s Tingrenagar, the Nyati Environ Cooperative Housing Society (CHS) Ltd. turned a Saturday morning into a celebration of nature and community spirit on July 19, 2025. More than 1,200 saplings, carefully chosen for their beauty and resilience, now dot the society’s gardens, pathways, and open spaces, thanks to a massive plantation drive. This heartfelt initiative brought together residents of all ages—children, parents, and seniors—united in their mission to create a greener, healthier future for their neighborhood.

The event was a true reflection of community strength, with families gathering at the society’s main gate at 10:00 AM to kick off the planting. Laughter and chatter filled the air as children dug into the soil alongside grandparents, each sapling a symbol of hope for a sustainable tomorrow. The society’s Garden Team meticulously planned the effort, selecting plants like vibrant Bougainvillea and fragrant Ratrani for sunlit areas, while shade-loving Spathiphyllum and Kunda thrived in quieter corners. Flowering varieties such as Hibiscus and Heliconia added bursts of color, ensuring the society blooms year-round.
Every corner of Nyati Environ was touched by this green wave, from the podium garden to the Senior Citizen Bay, where residents gathered to celebrate their shared achievement. The diversity of plants, including hardy Crotons and delicate Cannas, was chosen to suit the unique sunlight and space conditions of each area, showcasing thoughtful planning. This wasn’t just about planting trees—it was about nurturing a sense of pride and responsibility in the community, as residents worked side by side to enhance their home.
Led by dedicated leaders like Secretary Amit Pandey, Chairman Vashram Ahir, and Garden Department members Sonali Kundu, Rajshree Patil, and Aman Godhankar, the drive was a testament to what collective effort can achieve. Their vision turned a simple idea into a vibrant reality, with every resident playing a role, from carrying saplings to watering them. The event also served as an educational moment for children, who learned about the importance of greenery and teamwork while planting their first trees.
For the people of Tingrenagar, this plantation drive is more than an environmental win—it’s a bond that strengthens their community. Nyati Environ’s commitment to sustainability sets an inspiring example for other societies in Pune, proving that small actions can have a big impact. As the saplings grow, so does the hope for a greener, healthier future, rooted in the care and unity of this remarkable community.
