New Delhi, December 09, 2025 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi has urged NDA lawmakers to ensure that laws and administrative rules make life easier for ordinary citizens rather than create inconvenience. Addressing the NDA parliamentary meeting in Delhi, he said regulations must correct systems, not become a problem for people.
The comments come at a time when several sectors, including civil aviation, have faced criticism over chaotic operations and regulatory confusion. The Prime Minister noted that public frustration grows when rules appear rigid or poorly implemented. He encouraged the alliance to push for modernisation of administrative processes, digital access, simplified paperwork and more efficient public service delivery. He indicated that measures which reduce red tape and cut long procedural steps are essential for real ease of living.
NDA members responded positively, saying the message reinforces the government’s broader focus on better governance. Several MPs noted that many citizens, especially senior citizens and daily travellers, often struggle with complicated regulations that could be simplified without weakening oversight. They argued that when rules cause delays or inconvenience, trust in public institutions declines.
At the same time, policy observers warn that implementation will be the real challenge. Simplifying laws requires cooperation between ministries, state governments and administrative departments. Some experts believe that structural reforms will need sustained effort and political will to overcome bureaucratic resistance.
