Rain Takes a Pause in Marathwada: Farmers Advised Caution Amid Changing Monsoon Patterns

Rainfall is decreasing across Marathwada, with no alerts today. Light to moderate showers expected at isolated places. Farmers are advised to plan cautiously, as continued dry spells may threaten Kharif crops.

Mumbai |July 10 ,2025: After making a powerful entry in the last few days, the monsoon seems to be slowing down across Marathwada. As of July 10, no rain alert has been issued for any of the region’s eight districts. While some relief showers did appear earlier — thanks to a yellow alert issued in the last 24 hours for five districts including Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar — the overall rainfall activity has now noticeably decreased.

The latest weather forecast indicates that Marathwada will experience mostly cloudy skies and a slight rise in temperature. Rainfall, if any, will remain light to moderate and scattered.
Over the next 24 hours:
• Light to moderate rain is likely at isolated places in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, and Beed.
• Moderate rainfall may occur in Parbhani, Hingoli, and Nanded.
• Latur and Dharashiv may also see light to moderate showers at one or two locations.
This shift in rainfall patterns is a key concern for farmers. With no major rainfall expected in the coming days, agricultural activities — especially those related to Kharif crops — could be impacted. Experts are urging farmers to follow weather updates closely and plan irrigation or sowing activities with caution.
The changing weather could pose a risk to crops already sown. Hence, agricultural departments advise farmers to stay alert and adopt contingency measures if dry spells continue further.
