In a pioneering move towards healthcare innovation, the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, the topmost body regulating more than 600 medical, dental, Ayurveda, and allied health colleges and hospitals, has entered into a strategic partnership with Nihilent, a pioneer in AI-based solutions. The association seeks to leverage the capabilities of Emoscape, a sophisticated emotion-detecting platform fueled by artificial intelligence, to redefine clinical applications and revolutionize patient care.

Pune | May 19, 2025: Emoscape, which identifies subtle human emotions like love, anger, courage, fear, disgust, and wonder, interprets upper body movements in 3D. Based on centuries-old Indian cultural wisdom, the platform brings a novel, culturally anchored perspective to the emerging landscape of emotional diagnostics. By integrating mind and body, this collaboration seeks to elevate healthcare by prioritizing emotional well-being alongside physical health.
The collaboration enables MUHS to investigate Emoscape’s uses in various clinical environments such as non-communicable disease care, adolescent mental wellness, emotional care of mothers, counseling in surgery, and primary healthcare. This holistic system provides total, patient-focused care while complying with strict patient privacy protocols. The program empowers clinicians, researchers, and learners with cutting-edge tools to target mental and emotional health with unprece-dented accuracy and compassion.
In an effort to promote experiential learning, the partnership features interactive engagement possibilities for MUHS students in Nihilent’s Summer Internship Program. The immersion program will equip future healthcare professionals to implement AI-based emotional diagnostics in clinical settings, empowering them to drive innovation in a rapidly changing medical environment.
