Amid the escalating Iran-Israel war, President Donald Trump delays a final decision on U.S. military action for two weeks, signaling openness to diplomacy while facing global warnings, including from Russia.

Washington D.C., June 20:As the conflict between Iran and Israel enters its eighth day, the world closely watches the evolving stance of the United States under President Donald Trump. While initial signs pointed toward possible U.S. military intervention, Trump has put the decision on hold, opting for a two-week review period.

The White House, through Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt, confirmed that President Trump is still evaluating whether or not to engage militarily with Iran. “The possibility of near-future negotiations with Iran remains open. President Trump will decide based on that,” Levitt stated in a briefing.

Trump has long maintained his preference for diplomatic solutions over direct conflict, branding himself as a supporter of peace. However, he warned that if Iran refuses to back down from its nuclear ambitions, military action may be considered.

“I haven’t decided yet. The coming week will be crucial,” Trump told reporters earlier this week. In the meantime, he has made clear that Iran still has an opportunity to surrender its nuclear program. Failing that, the U.S. may move to actively participate in the growing Middle East crisis.

Taking to social media, Trump posted a direct message urging Iran to surrender, a move that was swiftly countered by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, who warned that any American involvement will come at a cost.

Adding to global tensions, Russia has issued a stern warning to the U.S., cautioning that American entry into the Iran-Israel conflict would be “a gravely dangerous step.” As war clouds loom, the international community remains on edge over what the next fortnight may bring.
