A chilling sword attack by migrant goons on local Marathi citizens in Bhayander’s Rai village has triggered anger. One seriously injured; Marathi Unification Committee demands MCOCA action and warns of protest.
Bhayander | August 6, 2025: In a shocking act of violence, a group of 7–8 migrant goons unleashed a brutal sword attack on local Marathi residents in Rai village of Bhayander. A disturbing video of the incident has surfaced, showing the attackers ruthlessly beating citizens, one of whom was grievously injured after being stabbed on the head with a sword. He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.
This brutal incident has triggered sharp reactions from the Marathi Unification Committee, whose president Govardhan Deshmukh has demanded immediate arrest of the accused. He warned that if swift action is not taken, the organization will not hesitate to launch another wave of Marathi protests.
“This was not just an attack on a person – it’s an attack on the identity and dignity of Marathi people,” said Deshmukh, criticizing the administration for its silence.
The committee has demanded that the case be pursued under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), citing the grave and organized nature of the assault. They have accused the state government of failing to curb the growing audacity of so-called “outsiders” who, according to the committee, are now openly threatening local lives and culture.
This latest incident comes close on the heels of previous tensions in Mira-Bhayander, where similar protests were sparked over issues of regional identity and law enforcement inaction.
The police have confirmed that a thorough investigation is underway, and efforts are on to trace the culprits. However, the public outcry is growing, and the demand for visible, decisive action is becoming louder.
