Pune | May 22, 2025: Years after his death, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam still burns brains all over the country. Often referred to as the Missile Man and among the most beloved Presidents of India, his ascent from humble beginnings to Rashtrapati Bhavan is very amazing, and now his inspirational life will be immortal on film.
Most known for Tanhaji and Adipurush, Filmmaker Om Raut debuted his next major work, a biography Kalam, at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival. Not just with its storyline but also with the choice of National Award-winning actor Dhanush for the title part attracted immediate attention.
Based on the widely regarded book “Wings of Fire,” which follows Dr. Kalam’s early struggles, scientific successes, and climb to become the 11th President of India, the film will Well-known for his expressive and gripping biopics like as Neerja and Maidaan, Saiwyn Quadras crafts the script. Production is watched over by Bhushan Kumar and Abhishek Agarwal.

Speaking at Cannes, Om Raut said: “There are few real heroes in the present day. Rising above politics, Dr. Kalam inspired millions with his vision, humility, and honesty. Telling his story respects and also entails obligation.
Directed by Aanand L Rai and co-starring Kriti Sanon, Dhanush is set to appear in Tere Ishq Mein before the Kalam release.
