Two professors and their friend in Bengaluru were arrested for repeatedly raping and blackmailing a student. The victim reported the crime after confiding in her parents. Police investigation is underway.
Bengaluru | July 16, 2025: In a horrifying case from Bengaluru, two college professors and their friend have been arrested for repeatedly raping and blackmailing a college student. The accused—Narendra, a physics professor; Sandeep, a biology professor; and their friend Anup—were all associated with a private college in the city where the victim was pursuing her studies.
According to the complaint lodged at Marathahalli Police Station, Narendra initially contacted the student under the pretext of sharing academic notes. He gradually built a friendship through continuous messaging and later called her to Anup’s residence, where he raped her and threatened her to remain silent.
Soon after, Sandeep also tried to initiate sexual advances. When the student resisted, he blackmailed her by claiming to possess intimate photos and videos of her with Narendra. It is also alleged that Sandeep raped her at Anup’s house.
The situation worsened when Anup, the third accused, allegedly showed the student CCTV footage of her entering his home and used it to threaten and sexually assault her.
The victim, unable to bear the repeated trauma, confided in her parents when they visited her in Bengaluru. Following this, the family contacted the Karnataka State Women’s Commission and subsequently filed a police complaint.
All three accused have been arrested and produced before the court. The investigation is ongoing.
