In Solapur, a 16-year-old boy ended his life after losing his mother. Leaving a heartfelt note, he blamed no one and requested his uncle care for his sister after his death.

Solapur | 25 July, 2025:  A deeply heartbreaking incident has shaken Solapur, where 16-year-old Shivsharan Bhutali Talkoti took his own life, overwhelmed by grief following the death of his mother three months ago. A Class 11 student with dreams of becoming a doctor, Shivsharan left behind an emotional suicide note addressed to his maternal uncle, holding no one responsible and requesting care for his younger sister.

The incident occurred in Jule, Solapur, where Shivsharan had recently shifted after his mother’s passing due to jaundice. His academic record was exceptional — he had scored 92% in Class 10 and had ambitions to clear NEET. However, the emotional trauma of losing his mother deeply impacted his mental health.

In his final note, Shivsharan wrote:

“I am dying because I no longer wish to live. When my mother left, I should have gone too. But I stayed seeing uncle and grandma’s faces. Last night, my mother came to me in a dream and called me to her. I want to thank uncle and grandma for pampering me and taking care of me more than even my parents. Uncle, please keep my sister happy. I will come back. Wait for me.”

He made a final appeal not to send his grandmother back to his father and expressed gratitude to his uncle Mahadev Tolnure, who had admitted him to a junior college in Solapur to help him continue his studies.

This tragic case underscores the silent mental battles many adolescents face, especially after the loss of a parent. The community is mourning the untimely loss of a bright, sensitive youth and the incident has reignited conversations around the need for emotional and psychological support for grieving children.
