AISATS sacks four senior officials after viral office party video sparks public outrage post AI-171 crash. Company issues apology, disciplines staff, and reaffirms its commitment to professionalism and accountability

Gurugram: Air India’s ground-handling partner, AISATS (Air India SATS Airport Services Pvt. Ltd.), has landed in controversy after a video of an office celebration at its Gurugram headquarters surfaced online. The footage, showing employees dancing and celebrating, went viral just days after the Air India Dreamliner AI-171 accident in Ahmedabad, drawing widespread criticism.

The timing of the party, so soon after the tragedy, triggered strong backlash from the public, airline staff, and social media users alike. Responding to the outrage, AISATS took swift action by terminating four senior officials and issuing written warnings to several others.

In an official statement, the company expressed regret over the incident, saying, “We stand in solidarity with the families affected by the AI-171 accident. The behavior captured in the video does not reflect our core values.”

The spokesperson further added, “We remain committed to empathy, professionalism, and accountability. Strict disciplinary measures have been implemented against those responsible.”
