Frustrated over complaints and slow progress, Deputy CM Ajit Pawar lashes out during Beed tour, says he may step down as Guardian Minister if people don’t cooperate.

Beed | August 7, 2025: Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Beed, Ajit Pawar, is on a district visit today to inspect ongoing development works. However, during interactions with locals, tensions flared, and Pawar expressed strong dissatisfaction over the lack of cooperation and progress, even suggesting he may resign as Guardian Minister.

Pawar stayed in Beed overnight and began his tour early, reviewing the Champavati Sports Board at 5:45 am. Following that, he inspected the Kankaleshwar Temple development plan and then visited the District Sports Complex, where he noticed garbage scattered in the area. Disturbed by the sight, he personally removed some of the waste and suggested better parking arrangements.

The situation escalated when local players and senior citizens raised complaints and suggestions regarding long-pending issues. Ajit Pawar responded angrily, stating, “The representatives you previously elected did nothing. Now when I’m working, people are getting angry. I don’t have a magic wand. If you cooperate, I’ll cooperate. Otherwise, I’ll go back. Let someone else be the Guardian Minister.”

His remarks reflected his frustration with the pace of development and rising public expectations. He also criticized the impatience among some locals, saying that change requires time and collaboration.

This is not the first time Pawar has confronted public resistance. During his recent Pune visit, he had similarly reprimanded public representatives, contractors, and encroachers for obstructing development work. A comparable scene has now unfolded in Beed, drawing attention to the challenges faced in executing on-ground development despite political will.
