
Bhimashankar Sugar Mill Credits ₹31.87 Crore to Farmers for 2024–25 Season
Bhimashankar Sugar Mill crushed over 11.38 lakh tonnes of cane in 2024–25, paying ₹31.87 crore to farmers. Additional payments under full FRP of ₹3,101/tonne will follow.
Pune, April 29, 2025: Bhimashankar Sahakari Sugar Mill in Pargaon, Dattatreya Nagar (Ambegaon tehsil) crushed a total of 11,38,496 metric tonnes of sugarcane during the 2024–25 crushing season. Based on the Fair and Remunerative Price (FRP) of ₹2,800 per metric tonne, ₹31.87 crore has been credited to the bank accounts of the farmers.
This information was shared by Sugar Mill Chairman Balasaheb Bende during a press conference on Sunday. Present at the event were Vice President of the Manchar Factory Pradeep Walse Patil, Directors Dadabhau Sheth Pokharkar and Balasaheb Ghule, Executive Director Chandrakant Dhage, Secretary Ramnath Hinge, and Chief Accountant Rajesh Wakchaure, among others.
As per the decision of the Board of Directors, made under the guidance of former minister Dilip Walse Patil, an initial advance quantity of 2,800 tonnes will be adjusted against the FRP. The remaining payment at the rate of ₹2,800 per tonne will be credited to farmers’ accounts shortly.
In addition, the second installment will also be provided at the rate of ₹300 per tonne under the total FRP of ₹3,101 per tonne.
The mill management has confirmed that all FRP-linked payments are being processed in a timely manner, ensuring that farmers receive their due payments without delay.
