Balaji Kashid’s ‘Me Gad Boltoy’ launched in Pune. Historians and experts urged youth to preserve forts. The event ended with an emotional reminder — forts are the soul of our history.

Pune | August 6, 2025: The historic book ‘Me Gad Boltoy’ written by Balaji Kashid was officially launched at Bharat Itihas Sanshodhak Mandal in Pune, in the presence of eminent historians, fort scholars, and social dignitaries.

The event was presided over by renowned historian Pandurang Balkawade and attended by prominent personalities including architectural expert Anandji Pimpalkar, Dr. Lavnish Tyagi of Sancheti Hospital, Akhil Bharatiya Maratha Federation Pune President Sanjay Pasalkar, fort expert Maruti Gole, and President of Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Trust, Sunil Rasane.

Speaking at the launch, author Balaji Kashid shared the heartfelt vision behind the book, stating, “Forts are soaked in the blood and sacrifice of our ancestors. It’s time the new generation remembers the saffron threads that protected them.” He emphasized that the purpose of ‘Me Gad Boltoy’ is to revive this historical consciousness among people, especially youth.

Anand Pimpalkar echoed similar sentiments, urging everyone to preserve forts as part of preserving God, country, and culture. He added, “Fort conservation is not just a passion—it is our duty to history.”

Colonel Dr. Lavnish Tyagi, Maruti Gole, Akshay Abanave, and Sanjay Dattatray Pasalkar also shared valuable insights into the importance of forts in national history. Pandurang Balkawade inspired the audience by highlighting key historical events tied to fort heritage and the role youth can play in their preservation.

The program was gracefully moderated by Gayatri Kunde and Adv. Sandesh Sakhre, while the vote of thanks was presented by Anil Jedhe of Shiledar Veer Kanhojiraje Jedhe Pratishthan.

As the event concluded, one message echoed in every heart present — if we forget the voice of our forts, we risk forgetting who we truly are.
