Mumbai | August 5, 2025: A shocking incident of murder has rocked the Maljipada area along the Mumbai-Ahmedabad highway. Ajit Yadav, the owner of a roadside dhaba named ‘Yadav Hotel’, was brutally killed on Sunday night following a dispute over a suspected mobile theft. The accused, a former employee of the hotel, returned with a group and launched a deadly assault. Naigaon police have arrested seven accused in connection with the crime.
The incident began on Saturday night when Lalla Amar Singh, who had previously worked at the hotel, visited the dhaba along with six of his friends. That night, some mobile phones reportedly went missing, which led Ajit Yadav to suspect Lalla Singh and his group. A heated argument broke out, during which Yadav slapped Lalla Singh. Insulted and enraged, Singh left the premises but harbored resentment.
On Sunday evening, Lalla Singh returned to the hotel with his friends and launched a sudden and violent attack on Ajit Yadav. Singh allegedly struck Yadav on the head with a wooden stick, while Shivam Yadav and Mahesh Yadav assaulted him with a chair. Kapil Yadav, a hotel employee, was also severely beaten during the chaos. Ajit Yadav attempted to flee but was caught outside by Bhola Yadav and Rajan Maurya, who pinned him down and continued the attack.
Both Ajit Yadav and Kapil Yadav were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, Ajit Yadav succumbed to his injuries on Monday morning. Naigaon police have registered a case of murder and confirmed that all seven accused have been arrested. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
