The State Common Entrance Test Cell is set to launch CET 2025 registration, paving the way for students to pursue professional courses. With a streamlined process and early scheduling, it’s a chance for aspiring students to shape their careers.
Mumbai | 27 July, 2025: Starting next week, from December 23 to 27, 2024, thousands of students across Maharashtra and beyond will take their first step toward higher education as the State Common Entrance Test Cell (CET Cell) begins registration for CET 2025. This annual entrance exam, a gateway to 19 professional courses in fields like arts, technical education, higher education, and medical education, is a critical milestone for young dreamers eager to build careers in diverse disciplines. The CET Cell’s proactive approach, announcing a tentative schedule on November 27, 2024, ensures students have ample time to prepare for exams scheduled between March 16 and April 27, 2025.
The registration process will roll out in phases, starting with courses such as MEd, MPEd, MBA, MMS, LLB (three years), MCA, BEd, BPEd, MHMCT, BHMCT, MHMCT Integrated, BAEd, BScBEd (Integrated), BEdMEd (three years integrated), and BDesign. This structured timeline reflects the CET Cell’s commitment to making the process accessible and organized, giving students clarity as they plan their academic journeys. The MHT-CET, a cornerstone of the admission process attracting over six lakh applicants annually, will see registration begin on January 1, 2025. The MHT-CET (PCB) exams are slated for April 9 to 17, 2025, while the PCM group exams will follow from April 27 to 29, 2025.
The CET’s significance is evident in its growing popularity. In 2024-25, registrations soared to 13,02,702, up from 10,36,985 the previous year, with technical education seeing the highest surge at 10,28,418 applicants. Medical education registrations nearly doubled to 60,570, while higher education and arts also saw steady growth. These numbers reflect the trust students place in the CET as a pathway to prestigious institutions, whether they’re aspiring doctors, engineers, educators, or designers.
