Pune | June 09, 2025: The CREDAI-Pune General Body Meeting and Installation Ceremony, held at Pune’s Conrad Hotel on 06 June, brought together top industry leaders and government officials to discuss the future of Pune’s real estate sector.
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, who attended as the chief guest, praised the sector’s contribution to the economy and assured that the government would actively address its challenges. He reiterated that Maharashtra aims to contribute $1 trillion to India’s $5 trillion economy, with real estate playing a pivotal role.
“If we want to deliver affordable housing to the common man, we must empower developers,” Shinde said. He promised swift action on CREDAI-Pune’s key concerns—ranging from DP approvals to TDR regulations—and emphasized a collaborative approach for faster development.
Outgoing leadership was honoured, and Manish Jain officially took charge as President of CREDAI-Pune for 2025–2027. Jain urged streamlining the building sanction process, integration of Environmental Clearances with construction permits, and protection of developers from blackmail and harassment.

He also announced a Centre of Excellence at COEP to showcase cutting-edge global technologies in real estate and foster innovation.
District Collector Jitendra Dudi highlighted reforms such as the MahaKhanij app for transparency in approvals, fast-tracking digitization of revenue records, and curbing frivolous land litigations.
PMC Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram stressed tackling civic issues like water supply and traffic while ensuring fair enforcement of hawker zone regulations. PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh called for collective action to combat air pollution.
The event also passed a resolution to rename CREDAI Pune Metro to CREDAI Pune, reflecting its inclusive presence across PMC, PCMC, and PMRDA regions.
Deputy CM Shinde concluded the event by stating, “Our goal is simple—development, development, and more development—and CREDAI will be a key partner in that journey.”
