Fadnavis Orders Swift Action for Development Works, Unveils Solar Project Management Portal
Chief Minister Fadnavis urges swift action on development projects, launching a new Solar Agriculture Channel Scheme Portal to ensure timely completion. Over 1,359 MW of solar energy projects have been completed.
Pune, April 25, 2025: In a high-level review meeting held on Thursday, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the need for rapid action in completing development projects on time, directing officers to take immediate steps against any obstruction, regardless of political affiliation.
Fadnavis stressed that both government and private developers must avoid unnecessary complaints and delays, urging them to take their issues directly to the concerned authorities rather than involving higher officials in the process.
The review meeting also focused on the Solar Agriculture Channel Scheme, an ambitious project aimed at enhancing solar energy production through agricultural channels. Fadnavis instructed the officers to speed up the implementation of this scheme and other ongoing projects.
He emphasized that a “single-window portal” would be created to address grievances related to development works, ensuring timely execution and adherence to policies.
Launch of Solar Agricultural Channel Scheme Portal
As part of this initiative, Fadnavis launched the Solar Agricultural Channel Scheme Project Management Portal developed by Mahavitaran.
This online platform is designed to streamline the entire process, from project sales and power generation to tracking electricity costs. The portal is available to developers, including Mahavitaran Mahapareshan, Mahaurja, and solar agro companies, providing guidance, safety measures, and action points for each phase of the project. This system aims to ensure that all projects are completed efficiently and on schedule, without any delays.
Encouraging Progress in Solar Energy Generation
Fadnavis also highlighted the success of the scheme so far, with a total of 1,359 MW of solar energy projects already completed. This has led to daily support reaching 214,000 farmers. Furthermore, the second phase of solar power projects, with a total capacity of 15,284 MW, is already underway, marking a significant step forward in the state’s renewable energy goals.
This initiative is a clear example of the government’s commitment to meeting its energy and development targets through effective planning and rapid execution.
