Rajasthan | June 9, 2025: A startling incident unfolded at the government residence in Civil Lines, Rajasthan, where a government teacher attempted to bribe Education Minister Madan Dilawar with ₹5,000 in a sealed envelope.
The teacher, Chandrakant Vaishnav, posted in Ghatol, Banswara, handed over the envelope along with a box of sweets to the Minister around 8 a.m. Sensing something suspicious, Minister Dilawar immediately alerted the police, who arrested the teacher on the spot.
Following the incident, the Education Minister ordered departmental action and suspended Chandrakant Vaishnav. Speaking to the media, Minister Dilawar expressed surprise, stating that in his 36 years of public service and three terms as a minister, this was the first time someone attempted to bribe him. He also mentioned that the teacher might have followed some tradition but stressed that bribery will not be tolerated.
