Dharashiv | July 24, 2025: A shocking case of kidnapping and assault has rocked the Dharashiv district after the owner of the popular Hotel Bhagyashree, Nagesh Madke, was abducted and brutally beaten by five unidentified men on Wednesday evening.
The incident took place when Madke was standing outside his hotel. A four-wheeler approached, and the men inside asked to click a selfie with him. As Madke approached the car, the assailants allegedly dragged him inside through the window, forcibly abducting him in full public view.
Madke later alleged that he was beaten with punches inside the vehicle and taken about five kilometers away. The gang allegedly had plans to murder him, but instead, they threw him off a bridge at Vadgaon (C.) and fled. Despite the serious assault, Madke managed to call his family and was immediately rushed to the Dharashiv District Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.
Surprisingly, no formal complaint or FIR has been registered yet, although Madke has assured that one will be filed soon. This incident comes amid a string of controversies involving Hotel Bhagyashree. Just last month, unknown miscreants vandalized the hotel’s posters, and a brawl broke out at the premises last week.
Due to the rising tensions and crowds, bouncers were recently deployed at the hotel, which has gone viral on social media for its food and buzz. However, the shocking attempt to abduct and allegedly murder the hotel owner has left the public and authorities stunned.
