Maharashtra launches India’s first online CME portal for AYUSH doctors via Ayuneeti.com. It ensures affordable, self-paced learning for over 1.5 lakh practitioners, fulfilling national credit requirements efficiently and transparently.
Pune | July 14, 2025: The Maharashtra Council of Indian Medicine (MCIM) has launched Ayuneeti.com, India’s first dedicated online Continuing Medical Education (CME) platform for AYUSH doctors, aiming to ease compliance, cut costs, and modernize medical education for over 1.5 lakh registered Ayurveda, Unani, and Siddha practitioners in Maharashtra.
A National Mandate, Not State-Imposed
MCIM clarified that the 50-credit CME requirement every five years is not a state directive, but a national rule under Gazette Notification CG-DL-E-02012024-251078 by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM). All state councils are mandated to enforce this, ensuring consistent professional development for AYUSH practitioners across India.
Selected through a formal government process, Ayuneeti.com enables:
- Anytime, self-paced access to CME content
- Drastic reduction in compliance costs
- No need to travel or shut down clinics
“Earlier, we had to close our clinics and travel to earn CME points. Now it’s possible from home,” said an Ayurvedic doctor from rural Maharashtra.
Cost Advantage: Online vs. Offline CME
Format | Cost per Credit | Other Expenses | Total Estimated Cost |
Offline CME | ₹1,000–₹1,500 | Travel, lodging, income loss | ₹12,000+ per session |
Ayuneeti.com | ₹600 + GST | None | ₹18,000 (for 30 points/5 years) |
At just ₹10/day, Ayuneeti.com offers a practical, scalable model for thousands of doctors.
Hybrid Learning Model Introduced
The CME credit split includes:
- 30 credits via Ayuneeti.com (mandatory)
- 20 credits via workshops/conferences (optional)
This hybrid approach balances digital ease with in-person, hands-on training, aligning with international trends in medical education.
