
IRCTC Clarifies: No Change in Tatkal Ticket Booking Timings
IRCTC Indian Railways has confirmed that there is no change in Tatkal or Premium Tatkal booking timings, countering false claims circulating on social media. Passengers are advised to rely only on official IRCTC sources for accurate ticketing information.

Pune, April 13, 2025: Amid a wave of speculation on social media regarding changes to Tatkal and Premium Tatkal ticket booking timings, the Indian Railways has stepped forward to set the record straight.

In response to widespread misleading reports, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) confirmed that no modifications have been made—or are currently planned—for Tatkal or Premium Tatkal schedules.
“Some posts are circulating on social media mentioning different timings for Tatkal and Premium Tatkal tickets. No such change is currently proposed for AC or Non-AC classes. The booking timings for authorized agents also remain the same,” IRCTC clarified via a post on X (formerly Twitter).
IRCTC Urges Passengers to Rely on Official Sources
Indian Railways has strongly advised passengers to trust only official IRCTC channels for updates and avoid falling for false rumors spread across social platforms.
