Jejuri Mandir Stairs Turn to Waterfalls
Incessant rains over the last four days have turned the Jejuri Mandir’s stairway into a waterfall-like spectacle, making it nearly impossible for devotees to offer prayers. Temple authorities and local volunteers are working to ensure safety and prevent accidents amid the heavy downpour.

Pune, May 27, 2025 : Incessant rainfall over the past four days across Western Maharashtra has transformed the iconic Jejuri Mandir into a scene of natural wonder and challenge. The famous stairway leading to the temple has taken on the appearance of cascading waterfalls, with water gushing relentlessly down the steps. This has made it almost impossible for devotees to ascend safely and reach the main shrine for their rituals.
The sudden transformation has left both devotees and temple authorities scrambling to ensure safety and manage the monsoon’s fury. Jejuri Mandir, renowned for its historical and spiritual significance, typically sees a constant stream of worshippers, but the heavy rains have forced many to turn back. Local volunteers and staff are on alert, guiding pilgrims and discouraging risky attempts to climb the slippery stairs.
With no immediate respite in sight from the rains, temple management is working with civic officials to mitigate the water flow and protect the ancient structure. Devotees have expressed hope that the rains will soon subside, allowing them to once again offer prayers at the revered Jejuri Mandir.
