Monsoon has weakened across Marathwada. IMD issues yellow alert for Jalna and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Light rain likely elsewhere. Farmers should delay sowing and monitor rainfall for stable conditions.
Jalna |July 11, 2025: After days of active rainfall, the monsoon has begun to weaken across Marathwada. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Jalna and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, predicting light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms and winds reaching speeds of 30 to 40 km/h today.
No official weather alerts have been issued for the other six districts — Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv. However, there is still a possibility of light showers and thunder in these areas according to the latest forecast.
On Friday, light rain with thunder and gusty winds were recorded in parts of Jalna and Parbhani, causing concern among residents. The IMD has repeated the rain warning for Jalna today, while Parbhani remains off alert for now.
As the monsoon system loses strength, weather officials have stated that the intensity of rain will continue to decline in the coming days. No fresh warnings have been issued beyond the next 24 hours.
This uncertain monsoon pattern may impact farmers, who are now being advised to wait for consistent rainfall before proceeding with major sowing and agricultural operations.
