Nagpur | August 9, 2025: A startling discovery has gripped Nagpur after four human skeletons were unearthed during road repair work near Besa Power House, within the jurisdiction of Sakkarara police station. Workers operating a JCB for ongoing road construction were stunned when the machine’s claw struck a human skull. Work was immediately halted, and police were called to the site. A forensic team, led by Police Inspector Mukund Thackeray, carefully recovered the decomposed remains, which have been sent to the Government Medical Hospital for postmortem examination.
While it is yet to be determined who the skeletons belonged to or how long they had been buried, initial suspicions suggest they may have been interred just weeks ago. The discovery of human remains beneath a main road has caused a stir in the area, drawing crowds of curious locals. Police have begun recording statements from construction workers and nearby residents as the investigation continues late into the night. Authorities are expected to release further details once forensic reports are available.
