Pune | 05 June, 2025: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut’s book Narakatalā Swarga has reignited political debates across Maharashtra, with its sharp commentary on state politics—from the formation of the Maha Vikas Aghadi to the rebellions of Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar.
Amidst intense political reactions and criticism from Mahayuti leaders, Raut’s latest claim has added fuel to the fire. In a striking tweet, he stated that 27 BJP MLAs have told him they read the book during a meeting. This came as a response to a social media post by MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande, who had shared the book’s photo with the caption, “There is nothing to hide.”

Raut reposted the image, asserting, “This book is for everyone.” His statement has quickly gained attention across political camps.
Interestingly, Raut had earlier gifted the book to several key figures, including Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, CM Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar, and MNS chief Raj Thackeray. He had also publicly urged the Shinde camp—especially those who went to Surat and Guwahati during the 2022 rebellion—to read it.
The book, released on May 17 in Mumbai, saw a high-profile gathering including Uddhav Thackeray, Sharad Pawar, Javed Akhtar, and other prominent personalities. Since its launch, Narakatalā Swarga has triggered a wave of responses, ranging from admiration to sharp political backlash, making it one of the most talked-about political books in recent times.
With its blunt narrative and controversial insights, the book appears to have struck a nerve in Maharashtra’s already charged political landscape—blurring lines between literature and live politics.
