Mumbai | June 12, 2025: Political sparks flew after BJP MLA Nitesh Rane stirred controversy by calling the Chief Minister “everyone’s father” in a speech that quickly went viral. The comment was widely interpreted as a jab or a show of dominance, leading to backlash within the party and prompting intervention from none other than Narayan Rane, his father and Union Minister.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, responding to the remarks, calmly stated, “The Chief Minister is not anyone’s father. Such statements are inappropriate.” He further confirmed that he had spoken to the concerned ministers and that they acknowledged the misstep.
Following this, Narayan Rane himself publicly expressed disapproval of his son’s comment. “It is wrong to make such statements.
