Hotelier Nagesh Madke’s alleged attack is now under suspicion, with police claiming it was staged for a gun license. Madke denies this, threatening self-immolation if justice is denied.

Dharashiv | July 26, 2025 — The case involving the alleged abduction and assault of Nagesh Madke, owner of the well-known Hotel Bhagyashree, has taken a dramatic turn. What initially sparked outrage on social media as a brutal attack is now being questioned as a possible fabrication.

Three days ago, it was claimed that Nagesh Madke had been kidnapped and assaulted by unknown assailants. However, police sources now suspect that the incident may have been staged to secure a gun license. According to Madke himself, the police hinted that the entire attack was orchestrated for this purpose — a claim he strongly denies.

“No, I didn’t make this up. I was really attacked and left unconscious. We are ordinary citizens. We don’t want guns, we only want justice,” Madke stated, refuting the police’s allegations.

Despite the serious nature of the initial complaint, no FIR has been registered yet. Madke alleges that the police are merely preparing to file a non-cognizable complaint, which has led to growing frustration.

Madke is scheduled to meet the District Superintendent of Police today to present his side. In a shocking declaration, he warned that if justice is not served, he would resort to self-immolation along with his children.

This case has now raised critical questions — was this truly an attack, or a ploy gone wrong? The truth remains uncertain as public interest and pressure on the police continue to mount.
