Starting July 1, PCMC will seize household items like TVs and vehicles from property tax defaulters to meet its ₹1,000 crore target.
Residents are urged to clear dues by June 30 to avoid penalties and secure a 10% discount. With only ₹465.55 crore collected in property taxes this year, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) is intensifying efforts to reach its ₹1,000 crore goal for the financial year. From July 1, the civic body will target defaulters, confiscating movable assets like refrigerators, televisions, and vehicles from those who have ignored repeated payment notices. More notices are set to be issued, ensuring no defaulter escapes scrutiny.

The move has sparked concern among residents, many of whom face financial strain or oversight in settling their dues. PCMC is offering a final chance to pay by June 30, with a 10% discount for full online payments and other concessions that expire today. The campaign aims to fund essential civic services while urging property owners to act swiftly to avoid legal action and the distress of asset seizures.
