A 53-year-old from Pimpri Chinchwad was deceived out of ₹28.30 lakh with false promises of a ₹90 lakh job, leaving him betrayed and empty-handed. Nigdi Police are investigating the two accused, who vanished after receiving the funds.
Between February 19 and May 15, 2025, a 53-year-old resident of Nigdi fell victim to a cruel scam that shattered his hopes for a better future. Two individuals, Rohan Roy Choudhary and Madhav Kulkarni, contacted him online, offering a senior position at a reputed company with a lucrative ₹90 lakh annual salary. Trusting their assurances, the man transferred ₹28,31,755 in multiple payments, expecting a formal job offer that never arrived.

When the accused stopped responding, the victim realized he had been cheated and reported the fraud to Nigdi Police Station. The absence of a job offer letter or refund left him devastated, grappling with the loss of his hard-earned savings. Police Inspector Misal is leading the investigation to track down the perpetrators, whose identities and addresses remain elusive, as the community rallies to support the victim and prevent similar deceptions.
