Pune| May 30, 2025: During his visit to Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a notable stop at the Patna airport, where he met 14-year-old cricket sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his parents. The meeting, captured in photographs, was shared by the Prime Minister on his official social media account.
Vaibhav, a native of Samastipur, Bihar, has taken the cricketing world by storm with his performance in this time’s Indian Premier League( IPL). Representing Rajasthan Royals, he scored a blazing century in just 35 balls against Gujarat elephants — making him the immature Indian to hit a century in IPL history and the fastest Indian to achieve the feat, surpassing Yusuf Pathan’s long- standing record.

Prime Minister Modi posted, “ Met the youthful justice sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi and his family at Patna field. His cricketing chops are being appreciated across the country! My best wishes for his future endavours. ”
A left- handed batsman, Vaibhav showcased his horsepower by scoring 101 runs off 38 balls, including 11 sixes and 7 fours, in the April 28 clash. His IPL debut came against Lucknow Super Giants, where he impressed with a 34-run knock in 20 balls, including a six on the very first delivery of his professional career bowled by Shardul Thakur.
Vaibhav’s meteoric rise has not only made him a household name but also a source of pride for Bihar, marking the emergence of a new cricketing talent on the national stage.
