PMPML Launches New Pune–Lonavala Tourist Bus Route Under ‘Pune Tourism’

PMPML launched a ₹500 tourist bus from Pune to Lonavala, covering major spots like Ekvira Temple and Bhushi Dam. AC e-buses, group discounts, and daily service enhance travel ease.

In a move to promote local tourism and provide convenient travel for passengers, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) has launched a new tourist bus service on the Pune–Lonavala route. The special service, introduced under the ‘Pune Tourism’ initiative, began on July 18, 2025, following an overwhelming response from earlier tourist routes.

This new offering aims to make travel to scenic Lonavala and the historic Ekvira Devi Temple more comfortable, eco-friendly, and affordable for both Pune residents and outstation tourists.

Tour Itinerary and Highlights

The air-conditioned electric buses will cover major monsoon tourist attractions, including:

  • Ekvira Devi Temple
  • Karla Caves
  • Wax Museum
  • Bhushi Dam
  • Manashakti Meditation Center

The bus will depart at 7:30 AM from Pune and return by 7:00 PM, offering ample time for sightseeing. Departure points include Pune Station, Swargate, and Deccan Gymkhana.

Affordable Ticket Price and Group Offer

  • Ticket Price: ₹500 per person
  • Group Booking Offer: For every group of 33 passengers, 5 people can travel free (100% ticket discount). Ideal for families, school groups, or office outings.
