Chalisgaon | 24 July, 2025: A school, meant to shape young minds, has instead become the center of a serious financial scam. In a shocking revelation from Jalgaon district, the principal and eight teachers of National Urdu High School in Chalisgaon have been booked for defrauding the government of over ₹11.5 lakh.

The incident has sparked widespread anger among locals, who expected the institution to uphold ethical values. According to police reports, the school management submitted a fake copy of a government resolution to falsely claim 100% salary subsidy for its staff. In reality, the school was only entitled to a 20% subsidy.

Using this forged document, the school allegedly misappropriated ₹11.50 lakh in public funds. Based on the investigation, a case has now been registered at Chalisgaon City Police Station against Principal Salim Khan and eight teachers involved in the scam.

Authorities are continuing the inquiry, and strict action is expected. The case has raised serious concerns about oversight and accountability in government-aided educational institutions.
