A prostitution racket was busted at a lodge on Bhadgaon Road in Chalisgaon, Jalgaon. Police detained two women and arrested two men, including the lodge manager. Further investigation is underway.
Chalisgaon, Jalgaon | July 4 – Chalisgaon Police have uncovered a prostitution racket operating out of a lodge on Bhadgaon Road. Following a tip-off, the police raided the premises and detained four individuals, including two women and two men.
The raid was conducted at Vinayak Plaza Hotel and Residency, where prostitution was reportedly taking place in two separate rooms.
According to police sources, the Chalisgaon police received information that a prostitution racket was operating at the hotel. Acting swiftly, the police team planned a sting operation by sending decoy customers to the lodge. A raid was then carried out in a film-like manner under the leadership of Police Inspector Amitkumar Manel.
Two women were caught red-handed engaging in prostitution during the raid.
The police have arrested lodge manager Prasad Gawli and another man identified as Manoj Gawli in connection with the case. One of the rescued women has been taken into custody, while the other has been sent to the Women’s Correctional Facility in Dhule for rehabilitation.
During the raid, the police discovered that prostitution was being carried out in two rooms of the lodge. Both women were rescued from the rooms along with the decoy customers used in the sting operation.
The entire operation was planned based on solid intelligence and executed swiftly to prevent the suspects from escaping.
Chalisgaon Police have launched a detailed investigation to identify the full extent of the racket, including whether more individuals are involved and if similar operations are running elsewhere in the area.Officials have also confirmed that the hotel management’s role is under scrutiny and strict action will be taken based on the findings.
