Prostitution Racket Busted in Amravati’s Next Level Mall Spa Centre

Amravati police busted a sex racket at Spa 99 in Next Level Mall. Three women, two customers, and the manager were detained. Illegal activities in the city’s commercial centres raise fresh concern.

Amravati | 3 July 2025 – A sex racket operating under the guise of a massage centre was busted by the police in a high-profile operation at the Next Level Mall on Camp Marg, once again exposing the thriving underbelly of illegal businesses in the city.

The crackdown happened at Spa 99, located on the first floor of the mall under the jurisdiction of Gadgenagar Police Station. Acting on a tip-off, Unit 2 of the Crime Branch conducted a surprise raid on Wednesday evening. During the operation, police detained three women, two customers, and the spa manager, exposing the prostitution activities being conducted under the label of massage therapy.

The detained spa manager has been identified as Gopi Neerajsingh Bhawarsingh Pandya. Upon interrogation, he informed the police that the spa was jointly operated by Rakesh Rawal of Madhya Pradesh and Abhijit Dilip Lokhande of Amravati. Police have registered a case against all three individuals involved under relevant sections.

Authorities seized items worth ₹1,14,700, including objectionable materials, mobile phones, and cash, from the premises.

This incident has again raised concerns about illegal activities thriving in commercial spaces in Amravati under the guise of legitimate businesses. Despite attempts to reach out, Police Commissioner Arvind Chawaria was unavailable for comment at the time of reporting.
