Pune Airport Flyers, Rejoice! 'Udan Yatra Cafe' Brings Budget-Friendly Bites
Pune Airport launches ‘Udan Yatra Cafe’ providing tea, coffee, snacks, and water at nominal prices, thus making travel even more affordable for regular passengers.
Pune, April 28, 2025: Flying out of the city of Pune has just become a whole lot cheaper for travelers seeking a quick snack. The newly opened ‘Udan Yatra Cafe’ at Pune Airport provides tea, coffee, snack, and drinking water at affordable prices.
The airport cafe, situated next to the exit of the airport’s new terminal, will be opened today (April 28) by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation, Muralidhar Mohol. The update was shared by Airport Director Santosh Dhoke and it reflected that the project will be a welcome relief for common travelers who tend to pay sky-high fares for food at airports.
The ‘Udan Yatra Cafe’ idea has already been implemented successfully at major airports such as Kolkata, Chennai, and Ahmedabad. With Pune Airport now on the list, it becomes the fourth airport in the nation to implement this passenger-friendly service under the Civil Aviation Ministry’s initiative.
Travelers can now indulge in basic refreshments without burning a hole in their wallets. At the Udan Yatra Cafe, a bottle of drinking water or a cup of tea costs only ₹10, and coffee costs ₹20. If you’re hungry, a hot samosa or a sweet dessert like gulab jamun can also be grabbed for just ₹20 each.
This considerate step will go a long way in making air travel slightly more comfortable and accessible, particularly for people who are forced to spend hours waiting to board. With Pune witnessing an increase in air traffic each year, this cafe can well become a favorite haunt for both frequent travellers as well as one-time flyers.
The program serves as a reminder that even small changes have a way of making a huge difference in the overall travel experience
