
Pune Power Zone Sees Over ₹5,000 Crore Revenue Rise in Two Years
The Pune power distribution zone witnessed a remarkable ₹5,000 crore revenue increase over two years, fueled by improved billing accuracy, efficient payment recovery, and the addition of over 4.34 lakh new connections.
Pune, April 19, 2025 – The electricity distribution zone in Pune has witnessed a substantial increase in its annual revenue, which has grown by more than ₹5,000 crore in the last two years.
The total revenue now stands at ₹21,280 crore, marking a significant financial achievement.
This growth has been made possible through a combination of effective initiatives, including accurate electricity billing, efficient payment processes, and the addition of over 4.34 lakh new power connections across various sectors such as domestic, commercial, and group categories.

The steady rise in consumer numbers and improved compliance with billing procedures have played a key role in this performance.
Additionally, the zone has managed to achieve 100 percent efficiency in the recovery of current electricity payments, indicating strong consumer discipline and system reliability.
These developments were highlighted during the recent annual review meeting of the zone. The meeting was led by the Chief Engineer, who reviewed and compared various aspects of work carried out over the last three financial years, including customer service performance.
Present at the meeting were Superintendent Engineers Yuvraj Jarag, Singhjirao Gaikwad, Ravindra Bundele, Sanjeev Nehete, and Anil Ghogre, along with Assistant General Managers Madhuri Raut and Sheetal Nikam.
The review focused on the key areas that contributed to the financial progress, acknowledging the collective efforts made by the team to improve operations and meet targets consistently over the assessed period.
