Raj Thackeray visited Uddhav Thackeray at Matoshree to extend birthday wishes, sparking talks of a possible political alliance. Though unannounced, their private meeting hints at changing political equations.

Mumbai | July 28, 2025: A surprise yet significant political development unfolded today as MNS chief Raj Thackeray visited Matoshree to personally wish Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray on his birthday. A special platform was set up near Matoshree for well-wishers, where Raj presented a bouquet to Uddhav amidst slogans and cheers from Shiv Sainiks.

Following the exchange of greetings, Uddhav invited Raj into his residence, where the two leaders held a private discussion. While the meeting was officially centered around birthday wishes, political circles are abuzz with speculation about a potential alliance between the two estranged cousins, especially with BMC and Assembly elections on the horizon.

Political observers see this gesture as more than just personal courtesy. The meeting has reignited talks of reconciliation between the two Thackeray-led factions, which had long maintained political distance since the formation of the MNS.

Speaking to the media, Raj Thackeray did not confirm any alliance, but added, “We will announce our decision at the right time.” This cryptic statement has further fueled speculation about evolving political dynamics in Maharashtra’s urban and regional strongholds.

For now, no formal alliance has been announced, but today’s meeting marks a potential turning point in Maharashtra politics, with both leaders possibly exploring common ground to challenge the ruling alliances.
