Delhi/Uttarakhand | June 21: Just as the nation reels from the shocking murder of businessman Raja Raghuvanshi in Indore, another disturbing case has emerged—this time from the national capital. A seemingly quiet household in Delhi’s Rajokari area hid a dark secret: a wife and her lover allegedly conspired and murdered her husband, dumping his body miles away in the remote valley of Uttarakhand.
The murder came to light only when, on June 5, locals in the Dugadda region of Uttarakhand stumbled upon a decomposed body in a valley. The body bore clear signs of brutal physical assault. Upon investigation, police identified the deceased as Ravindra Kumar, a resident of Delhi. A note recovered from the crime scene mentioned a guest house where Ravindra had been staying—leading authorities to Delhi for deeper investigation.
Tracing local CCTV footage and hotel records, police zeroed in on Ravindra’s wife Sindhu, who initially played innocent and claimed her husband had been missing for days. But under sustained questioning, Sindhu broke down and confessed to the crime.
According to police, Sindhu runs a physiotherapy clinic in Delhi, where she met Paritosh, with whom she developed an extramarital relationship. The duo allegedly planned the murder for weeks, aiming to eliminate Ravindra for his property and begin a new life together.
The case has shocked many due to its cold planning and the extent the accused went to in order to mislead investigators—going so far as to dispose of the body hundreds of kilometers away. As the investigation continues, police are piecing together the sequence of events, from the murder in Delhi to the body’s discovery in Uttarakhand.
