Two violent incidents in Sambhajinagar shocked residents. One man was killed in Mukundwadi, and another was injured in Pundaliknagar after his nephew attacked him over a property dispute
Sambhajinagar | June 20, 2025: Sambhajinagar is reeling under shock after witnessing two brutal attacks within 24 hours, leaving one person dead and several injured. On Thursday, a young man attacked three individuals with a meat cleaver in the Mukundwadi area. One victim died on the spot, while two others sustained serious injuries and are undergoing treatment.
While the city was still recovering from the Mukundwadi incident, another violent episode unfolded in the Pundaliknagar area, where a nephew attacked his maternal uncle over a property dispute. The accused, identified as Om Shingare, reportedly had an ongoing dispute with his uncle Santosh Arak regarding the ownership and division of a house.
Sources from the Pundaliknagar Police Station confirmed that Om had been persistently demanding that his maternal uncle hand over a share of the property to his mother. However, the uncle allegedly refused to divide the house, escalating tensions within the family. Matters took a violent turn when Om attacked Santosh Arak with a sharp weapon, leaving him severely injured.
Arak is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital, and his condition is said to be critical. Police have registered a case and launched a detailed investigation into the matter. Both incidents have sent shockwaves across Sambhajinagar, raising serious concerns about rising violence over personal and property disputes.
