A year after surviving liver failure thanks to her father’s donation, 20-year-old Visakha Vanjare tragically died in a truck accident in Sambhajinagar. Her two friends remain critically injured.
Sambhajinagar | July 23, 2025: In a heartbreaking twist of fate, 20-year-old Visakha Vanjare, who was given a second chance at life last year through a liver transplant donated by her father, tragically lost her life in a gruesome road accident in Sambhajinagar.
The accident occurred around 2:30 am on Monday night in the Kumbhephal area, when Visakha and her two friends were riding a triple-seat scooty and were hit by a speeding, overtaking truck. The girls were reportedly returning from a tea break with friends when a vehicle from the opposite direction collided with their scooty, followed by a fatal blow from the truck. All three were crushed in the collision.
Visakha succumbed to her injuries during treatment, while her friends Saanvi Shingare and Apeksha Jamdhade remain in critical condition at a private hospital. The accident has left the entire community and college fraternity in shock.
A year ago, Visakha’s liver had failed, and in a desperate bid to save her life, her father selflessly donated a portion of his own liver. She had since recovered and was pursuing her second-year studies at the People’s Foreign Six Science College in Shendra, living in a rented flat with her friends in Kumbhephal.
This tragic incident has plunged the Vanjare family of Beed into inconsolable grief—losing their daughter just a year after her miraculous recovery has devastated them.
